National Securityથી લઈને Data Science અને Machine Learning સુધી Collaboration; IITGNના Students માટે Internship અને Professional Opportunitiesનો માર્ગ પણ ખુલશે

Gujaratમાં Education, Research અને National Security Technologyને જોડતું મહત્વનું Collaboration સામે આવ્યું છે. Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) અને Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (Gujarat ATS) વચ્ચે Research, Technology, Capacity Building અને Professional Development માટે Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) કરવામાં આવ્યું છે.

આ MoUનો મુખ્ય હેતુ IIT Gandhinagarની Research & Technology Expertise અને Gujarat ATSના Field Experience અને Security Requirementsને એકસાથે લાવવાનો છે. બંને સંસ્થાઓ મળીને technology-driven solutions અને research projects પર કામ કરશે.

Researchથી Real-World Security Challenges સુધી

આ Collaboration માત્ર academic research પૂરતું સીમિત નહીં રહે. MoU હેઠળ Joint Research & Development Projects, Specialised Workshops, Webinars, Capacity-Building Programmes અને Technology-driven Initiatives માટે framework તૈયાર કરવામાં આવ્યો છે.

IITGNના researchers, students, subject-matter experts અને Gujarat ATSના professionals વચ્ચે knowledge exchange પણ આ partnershipનો મહત્વનો ભાગ રહેશે.

સરળ શબ્દોમાં કહીએ તો, Classroom અને Research Labમાંથી નીકળતી Technologyને Real-World Security Challenges સાથે જોડવાનો પ્રયાસ કરવામાં આવશે.

Cyber Security અને Digital Investigation પર પણ Focus

આજના સમયમાં National Security માટે માત્ર traditional policing પૂરતી નથી. Cyber Crime, Digital Fraud, Online Networks, Data Analysis અને Technology-based Threats જેવા નવા પડકારો ઝડપથી વધી રહ્યા છે.

આ Collaboration હેઠળ technology-based tools અને digital investigation capabilitiesને support કરી શકે તેવી Research પર પણ ધ્યાન આપવામાં આવશે. Times of Indiaના અહેવાલમાં પણ આ partnershipને Research, Technology અને operational efficiency સાથે જોડવામાં આવી છે.

IIT Gandhinagarની technical expertiseનો ઉપયોગ કરીને Gujarat ATSને modern technology અને research-based approaches સાથે જોડવાનો પ્રયાસ થશે.

Data Science અને Machine Learning પણ મહત્વના ક્ષેત્ર

આ MoU હેઠળ potential research areasમાં માત્ર Cyber Security જ નહીં પરંતુ અનેક advanced technology domainsનો સમાવેશ થાય છે.

તેમાં:

• Data Science & Decision Making
• Machine Learning in Engineering
• Energy Policy & Regulation
• Energy Sustainability
• Composites
• Computational Fluid Dynamics

જેવા ક્ષેત્રોનો સમાવેશ થાય છે.

આથી આ partnershipને માત્ર Police અને IIT વચ્ચેનું સામાન્ય MoU માનવાને બદલે Multi-disciplinary Research Collaboration તરીકે જોવામાં આવી રહ્યું છે.

Students માટે Internship અને Career Exposure

આ MoUનો એક મહત્વનો ભાગ Student Development પણ છે.

IIT Gandhinagarના eligible studentsને Gujarat ATS સાથે Internship અને potential job opportunities માટે exposure મળી શકે છે. જોકે આ માટે applicable eligibility requirements અને selection process રહેશે.

આ પ્રકારની Internship વિદ્યાર્થીઓને માત્ર academic knowledge નહીં પરંતુ Real-world Security Challengesને સમજવાની તક આપી શકે છે.

Engineering, Data Science, Technology અને Research ક્ષેત્રના વિદ્યાર્થીઓ માટે આ પ્રકારનું exposure ખાસ મહત્વનું બની શકે છે.

Gujarat ATS Officers માટે Professional Development

MoU હેઠળ Gujarat ATSના personnel માટે IIT Gandhinagarના Executive Masters અને અન્ય Academic/Professional Programmes સાથે જોડાવાની opportunities પણ રહેશે.

ATSના Subject Matter Experts IITGNના online coursesમાં:

• Special Lectures
• Instructor અથવા Co-Instructor roles
• Curriculum Inputs

જેવી ભૂમિકાઓ ભજવી શકે છે.

આથી એક તરફ IITના studentsને Practical Security Knowledge મળશે, જ્યારે બીજી તરફ ATSના professionalsને advanced academic અને research ecosystem સાથે જોડાવાની તક મળશે.

Project Spandanનો પણ ઉલ્લેખ

Gujarat ATSના Deputy Inspector General Sunil Joshi, IPSએ modern policingમાં research અને technologyના મહત્વ પર ભાર મૂક્યો હોવાનું અહેવાલમાં જણાવાયું છે.

તેમણે Project Spandanનો ઉલ્લેખ કરતા academic institutions સાથેના આવા collaborations દ્વારા advanced researchને modern policingની જરૂરિયાતો સાથે જોડવાની સંભાવના દર્શાવી હતી.

IIT Gandhinagar તરફથી પણ એવું જણાવાયું છે કે IITની Research Capabilities અને Gujarat ATSની Domain Expertiseને સાથે લાવીને society અને security સાથે જોડાયેલા real-world challenges પર કામ કરવાની તક ઊભી થઈ શકે છે.

MoU કેટલા સમય માટે?

મળતી માહિતી મુજબ આ MoU ત્રણ વર્ષ માટે effective રહેશે, જોકે બંને સંસ્થાઓની mutual agreementથી તેને extend, amend અથવા terminate કરી શકાય છે. Individual projects માટે confidentiality, publication અને intellectual property rights અંગે અલગથી terms નક્કી થઈ શકે છે.
