Amreliથી Rajkotના Virpur સુધી CCTV Trail, 10 KMનો ‘Dark Spot’ અને અંતે Human Intelligenceથી મળ્યો Breakthrough

ગુજરાતમાં પાંચ વર્ષના બાળકના alleged kidnapping કેસની તપાસમાં Gujarat Policeની Technology + Ground Intelligenceનું અનોખું combination જોવા મળ્યું. Amreli જિલ્લાના Mota Ankadiya ગામમાંથી 5 વર્ષના બાળકને કથિત રીતે લઈ જવામાં આવ્યા બાદ પોલીસે આરોપી સુધી પહોંચવા માટે 172 CCTV Cameras, ANPR Data અને Private CCTV Footageની મદદ લીધી અને લગભગ 100 KM સુધીના Routeને Track કર્યો.

આ સમગ્ર search લગભગ 48 કલાક સુધી ચાલી હતી અને અંતે Rajkot જિલ્લાના Virpurમાંથી બાળકને સુરક્ષિત રીતે શોધી કાઢવામાં આવ્યું. Police investigationમાં CCTV footage મહત્વપૂર્ણ રહ્યું, પરંતુ આખરી breakthrough એક Food Distribution Centreના કર્મચારીની Human Intelligenceથી મળ્યો.

6 સપ્ટેમ્બરે શરૂ થયો સમગ્ર મામલો

Indian Expressના અહેવાલ મુજબ, 6 સપ્ટેમ્બર 2026ના રોજ Amreli જિલ્લાના Mota Ankadiya ગામમાંથી પાંચ વર્ષના બાળકને કથિત રીતે એક વ્યક્તિ motorcycle પર લઈ ગયો હતો.

Police પાસે શરૂઆતમાં કેટલાક મહત્વપૂર્ણ clues હતા:

• Suspectની ઓળખ
• Motorcycleનું make અને registration details
• બાળકના કપડાં અંગેની માહિતી
• CCTVમાં મળતી movement
• Amreliથી બહાર જવાનો સંભવિત route

આ માહિતીના આધારે Policeએ અલગ-અલગ રસ્તાઓ અને CCTV locations તપાસવાનું શરૂ કર્યું.

એક CCTVથી મળ્યો 52 KMનો Trail

તપાસ દરમિયાન Amreliના Netram Command & Control Centreના footageમાં motorcycle Mota Ankadiyaથી Kunkavav તરફ જતી જોવા મળી.

અહીંથી અનેક રસ્તાઓ અલગ દિશામાં જતા હોવાથી Police માટે આગળનો route નક્કી કરવો પડકારરૂપ હતો.

Amreli Policeએ Rajkot Rural Police અને Gandhinagarના State-level Trinetra Command Centreનો સંપર્ક કર્યો.

ત્યારબાદ અલગ-અલગ public અને private CCTV camerasની મદદથી motorcycleની movementને step-by-step trace કરવામાં આવી.

40થી વધુ Private CCTV પણ તપાસાયા

Routeમાં ઘણા Government CCTV cameras કામ કરતા ન હતા અથવા તેમની footage મેળવવામાં મુશ્કેલી હતી.

આથી Policeએ રસ્તા પર આવેલા:

• Shops
• Petrol Pumps
• Hotels
• Commercial Establishments
• Private CCTV Systems

ની footage તપાસવાનું શરૂ કર્યું.

એક તબક્કે Policeએ 40થી વધુ Private Cameras તપાસ્યા, પરંતુ આગળનો route મળતો નહોતો.

પછી Highway પરના કેટલાક camerasની માહિતી મળી અને Policeએ તેના આધારે વધુ આગળ તપાસ શરૂ કરી.

180 Camerasમાંથી ફરી મળ્યો મહત્વનો Clue

Dumiyani Toll Plazaના Private Operator પાસે મોટી સંખ્યામાં camerasની footage ઉપલબ્ધ હતી.

Policeએ motorcycle શોધવા માટે આ footageને camera-by-camera scan કરી.

આ પ્રક્રિયામાં એક મહત્વપૂર્ણ footageમાં alleged suspect motorcycle પર NH-27 તરફ Rajkot જતો જોવા મળ્યો.

અહીંથી Policeને ફરી એકવાર routeનો clear direction મળ્યો અને search Rajkot તરફ આગળ વધી.

10 KMનો ‘CCTV Dark Spot’ બન્યો મોટો પડકાર

આ investigation દરમિયાન Policeને એક મોટો 10 KM CCTV Dark Spot મળ્યો.

BPCLના Shree Dwarkesh Petrol Pump પાસે suspect અને બાળક CCTVમાં દેખાયા બાદ આગળ લગભગ 10 KM સુધી કોઈ યોગ્ય surveillance footage ઉપલબ્ધ નહોતી.

આ દરમિયાન road work અને CCTV coverageની અછતને કારણે Policeને ફરીથી alternative sources શોધવા પડ્યા.

આગળ એક Factoryના CCTVમાં motorcycle દેખાઈ, પરંતુ તેની timestamp actual time કરતાં 17 minutes પાછળ ચાલી રહી હતી.

આવા technical issuesને કારણે Policeને footageના સમયને manually calculate કરવો પડ્યો.

CCTVમાં દેખાયો બાળકનો Orange T-Shirt

Virpur તરફ આગળ વધતાં Policeએ અનેક Private CCTV systems તપાસ્યા.

એક cameraમાં motorcycleનો number plate સ્પષ્ટ દેખાતો નહોતો, પરંતુ બાળકનો bright orange T-shirt દેખાયો.

આ નાની પરંતુ મહત્વપૂર્ણ visual clueથી Policeને ખાતરી થઈ કે તેઓ સાચા route પર આગળ વધી રહ્યા છે.

આગળના camerasમાંથી પણ movementની કડીઓ મળતી ગઈ.

પરંતુ અહીં પણ એક પડકાર હતો—કેટલાક cameras બંધ હતા, કેટલાકમાં memory cardની સમસ્યા હતી અને કેટલાક systemsના timestamps ખોટા હતા.

CCTVમાં 17 Minutesથી લઈને વર્ષ 2000 સુધીના Timestamp Issues!

તપાસ દરમિયાન Policeને CCTV systemsની technical limitationsનો પણ સામનો કરવો પડ્યો.

એક systemમાં timestamp 17 minutes પાછળ ચાલી રહ્યો હતો.

બીજા એક scrapyard CCTVમાં તો footage પર January 2000ની તારીખ અને રાત્રે 10:22નો સમય દેખાતો હતો, જ્યારે Policeની actual investigation 2026માં ચાલી રહી હતી.

આવા footageને actual timeline સાથે match કરવા માટે Investigatorsને સમયની ગણતરી કરીને ફરીથી route reconstruct કરવો પડ્યો.

આખરી Breakthrough CCTVથી નહીં, Human Intelligenceથી મળ્યો

172 CCTV અને અન્ય surveillance footageની મદદથી Police alleged suspectની locationની નજીક પહોંચી ગઈ હતી.

પરંતુ આખરી breakthrough એક Food Distribution Centreના Worker પાસેથી મળ્યો.

Workerએ surveillance footageમાંથી suspect અને બાળકના photographs ઓળખ્યા અને Policeને જણાવ્યું કે તેણે બંનેને છેલ્લા બે દિવસ દરમિયાન ત્યાં ખાવાનું આપ્યું હતું.

આ માહિતી મળ્યા બાદ Policeએ આસપાસના CCTV footage ફરી તપાસ્યા અને બંને વ્યક્તિઓની location અંગે વધુ confirmation મેળવ્યું.

અંતે 8 સપ્ટેમ્બરની સવારે આશરે 6:30 વાગ્યે, alleged suspect અને બાળકને Virpur વિસ્તારમાં શોધી કાઢવામાં આવ્યા.

48 કલાક બાદ બાળક સુરક્ષિત મળ્યું

આ રીતે લગભગ 48 કલાકની search બાદ પાંચ વર્ષના બાળકને Policeએ સુરક્ષિત રીતે શોધી કાઢ્યું.

Policeના જણાવ્યા મુજબ, પૂછપરછ દરમિયાન alleged suspectએ બાળક સાથે bond develop થયાની વાત કરી હતી અને તેને Madhya Pradesh લઈ જવાનો ઇરાદો હોવાનું જણાવ્યું હતું.

આ દાવાઓ investigationનો ભાગ છે અને આરોપી સામેના કાયદાકીય આરોપોનો અંતિમ નિર્ણય કોર્ટની પ્રક્રિયા બાદ જ થશે.

Gujaratના CCTV Network સામે પણ મોટો સવાલ

આ કેસ માત્ર kidnapping investigation પૂરતો સીમિત રહ્યો નથી.

તપાસ દરમિયાન સામે આવેલી faulty cameras, connectivity issues, inaccessible private footage, incorrect timestamps અને 10 KMના surveillance gap જેવી બાબતો Gujaratના CCTV infrastructure સામે પણ પ્રશ્નો ઉભા કરે છે.

Indian Expressના અહેવાલ મુજબ, Gujaratમાં અલગ-અલગ Government Departments અને projects હેઠળ સ્થાપિત CCTV systems હજુ સંપૂર્ણપણે એક unified network તરીકે integrated નથી.

રાજ્ય સરકારે તાજેતરમાં 1.8 લાખથી વધુ CCTV Camerasને એક integrated system સાથે જોડવા માટે technological solution શોધવા Hackathonની જાહેરાત પણ કરી છે.

Technology સાથે Human Intelligence પણ જરૂરી

આ આખા કેસની સૌથી મહત્વની વાત એ રહી કે Policeએ technologyનો ઉપયોગ તો કર્યો જ, પરંતુ અંતે એક સામાન્ય વ્યક્તિની observationએ investigationને આગળ ધપાવી.

CCTV → Route Analysis → ANPR → Private Cameras → Human Intelligence → Rescue

આ sequence બતાવે છે કે modern policingમાં માત્ર camerasની સંખ્યા પૂરતી નથી.

Camera functional હોવો, યોગ્ય angleમાં હોવો, accurate timestamp આપતો હોવો અને તેની footage સમયસર ઉપલબ્ધ થવી પણ એટલી જ જરૂરી છે.
