Ahmedabad: SHE – The Sindhi Entrepreneur is a group started by entrepreneur Jyoti
Mulchandani, founder of the blog Sindhi Khazana; Nikita Dudani – a psychologist, spiritual
healer & coach and home chef Riya Mulchandani with the support of writer Anil Mulchandani.
It is a non-profit initiative to support women entrepreneurs of all communities through
networking events, flea markets, exhibitions, festivals, workshops, knowledge sharing, learning
sessions and more. “I have met women entrepreneurs who lack communication skills like public
speaking, pitching to clients, negotiation skills, email & phone etiquette, branding and even
wearing industry appropriate clothing. We propose to organise workshops, seminars, talks and
peer sharing sessions to address skill gaps from basic digital literacy and tech tools to finance
and compliances,” said Anil Mulchandani.
Co-founder Riya Mulchandani added, “Many new women entrepreneurs struggle due to limited
professional skills such as communication, public speaking and presentation abilities. We felt
there is a need for an organisation that can help bridge these gaps without the high fees or rigid
structures often associated with the large professional networking platforms.”
SHE will continue to focus on conducting activities and providing those platforms that will help
members upgrade themselves personally and professionally. Nikita Dudani, the co-founder,
said, “This is a step to give back to the community all the support and opportunities that I have
received over the years. I want other women entrepreneurs to know that they have a community
where they can express what support they need — and we, as a team, will strive to provide that.
SHE is for everyone — from beginners to seasoned entrepreneurs — a safe, encouraging and
empowering space to grow together.”
The launch event on Thursday, November 6, was attended by 60 women entrepreneurs. They
were from diverse professions and sectors like food, fashion, wellness, services, retail,
wholesale, handicraft, digital marketing, logistics, event management, the arts, social
development, etc. Co-founder Jyoti Mulchandani said, “I was delighted by the calibre of
attendees and the breadth of enterprises represented at the launch.”
The event was held at The Grand Bhagwati and Jay Somani, its executive director, was the
chief guest while food blogger Pooja Sangani was the guest of honour. “When it is a matter of
women empowerment, I always love to be a part of it and the ‘She – The Sindhi Entrepreneur’
launch was truly amazing. I wholeheartedly love the concept of this platform that focuses on
helping women entrepreneurs from all communities to empower themselves, regardless of their
chosen field. It creates a vital supportive ecosystem. Being present to witness and support all
four founders’ shared vision of growth was profoundly amazing and inspiring experience,” stated
Pooja, also an influencer.
Bharti Lalchandani of Trendwave conducted a workshop on improved use of digital media for
marketing on the occasion.
